We at the Hope Interfaith Center offer genuine hope for humankind as the count down to 2012 continues. We not only try to explain the 2012 phenomenon, but we present ways that we can participate in the shift of human consciousness to help with the oncoming transformation.
What would it mean to discover that
the power to create joy, heal suffering and
bring peace to that which lives inside of you?
How would you live your life knowing this?
I have had students who have asked me to help midwife them during this time of great shift. So in August, the books will once again be opened to make appointments for people who want spiritual direction to learn how to intensify positive energy.
Learning how to release the ego will give you dramatic evidence of a web of energy that connects everything in our lives and our world ? this is the Divine Matrix. From healing of our bodies to the success of our careers, our relationships, there is evidence that we each hold the power that links us to all creation.
We will also be taking 20 students for two hour slots. Hope has been guided to have some students on the table for one hour for energy matrix work and one hour for personal reflection time. These appointments are for students who are willing and wanting major mentorship during this time.
Penny continues to meet with those desiring spiritual counseling as well. We understand that Hope is not always available. You may find it helpful to meet with Hope at times and Penny at times. They have been told that their styles offer different ways to look at the same teachings.
The Hope Interfaith Center’s intention is to provide
guidance and support for all who walk in the door!
2012 marks the beginning of a new and better world.
The Mayans saw it as a time of dramatic rebirth for humanity. As the earth aligns itself, this brings on a time
of transformation in which an expanded consciousness creates your new world.

“There is as much greatness of mind in
acknowledging a good turn, as in doing it.”
Seneca said this and it is true! So THANK YOU! This past quarter we have required volunteers for the Silent Auction, the Salvation Army Sunday Noon Meal, the yard clean up, and the Fair Trade Bazaar. We extend deep gratitude to the following angels: Jacki Griep, Bonnie Smasal, MaryAnn Morningstar, Craig Domeier, Rich Christensen, Kathy Heine, Jo Gangestad, Marcia Nermoe, Nancy Besse, Scott and Penny Tower, Dayna Cobb, Klea Brewton-Fitzgerald, Andrew and Kim Cummings, Amy Cardamone Rayner, Wendy Rockswold, Mary Lou Nelson, Monika Antonelli, Paul and Janice Gorman, Julie Thorleifson, the Coffee Hag, Lois Weber, Rashmi, Deb Nelson, John Petering, Marion Lichtenberg, Rachel Sear, Joni O’Connell, Dorothy Mumma, Dawn Zinniel, Mary Furst, Judy Mosca, Ursula Christ, Susan Ruth Kroon, Sara Gorman, Anita, Kelsey, Amy, and Kassie Markham, Josh Niss. We apologize if we have left any one off of this list. Know that in the Heart of all matters you are known by your actions!
Dear, dear HIC Community,
Words cannot express the deep thanks that comes from the Center to all who have so faithfully served, in many capacities, during this past year. Many times you only see Hope or Penny day to day in the Center, but it takes many to do the work of Hope Interfaith Center! We will attempt to name them all, knowing that inadvertently we may miss someone. A humble apology if that happens!
First of all, to Joni Rae O’Connell, our Chief Financial Officer, who keeps all those wheels turning so that we can carry out the mission that we are all so passionate about! We honestly DO NOT know what we would do without you.
Secondly, to the Center Steward, namely MaryAnn Morningstar, who is the angel who keeps the Center beautiful and clean (not an easy task with so many coming and going…)! Thank you for the order and peace you bring into HIC.
Thirdly, to Amy Kortuem, the creative genius behind the final product of this quarterly newsletter! Many times we are crunching to the very end of the deadline and she is always up for the challenge! Amy, you are a Godsend;)
Fourthly, to Cheryl Jurcoi, our web Master, who gives her artistry and computer knowledge to the HIC website, which continues to be ‘new and improved’. Thank you for your craftiness!
Finally, to the Executive Board Members of HIC: We thank them for their time and devotion to HIC. Our current board consists of: Kathy Heine, Ursula Christ, Nancy Besse, Jo Gangestad, Julie Thorleifson, and Kim Stanton. They not only meet often and advise, making large and small decisions pertaining to the Center, but they are called upon to do extra work when it is needed. And, they always say YES! For that, there are no words!
Last, but never least, thank you to THE COMMUNITY of the Hope Interfaith Center. We have reached the one year anniversary of living in our new home, which has been exciting and fulfilling! And we have so very many who volunteer for our fund raisers throughout the year, so many that help keep the facility and yard in tip top shape, so many who help serve Sunday Noon Meals at the Salvation Army. The list could go on and on naming all who give of themselves to HIC and this community! Everyone who comes into these doors or those we meet upon the street and invite to join us, everyone is a vital part of who we are and the work that we strive to do. As even Cicero once said, so, so many years ago (around 60 BC), “We were born to unite with our fellow men, and to join in community with the human race.” That is our goal and this community is what makes that happen! So, to everyone who grants us the presence of their Spirit, or the gifts of their time, talent or money we say a deep and heartfelt “Thank you”!
When you come to the Center, we would ask that you remove your shoes if possible. There are mats and cubbies that will hold your shoes. This is not only to help keep the Center clean but it is also a way of honoring the sacredness of the space. Thank you.
